The Atlanta IHRIM Excellence Award was presented this year to the Southern Company in recognition of their demonstrated leadership, vision and innovation in the use or implementation of technology.

Did you know that smartphones outsold PCs in 2011 for the first time? Many organizations are just realizing that tablets and smartphones are transforming the ways they do business. The meeting was held on Thursday, March 22^nd.  Oracle's Steve Boese, Director of Talent Management Strategy, explored this transformation in more detail during the meeting held at the Terry College of Business. The Southern Company also presented their "mySOurce" portal solution.

The IHRIM Atlanta/SE Board is pleased to announce the Quarterly Meeting schedule for our 2012 year.  The underlying theme for our meetings this year is "The Future of Work: Emerging HR Technology":

• Q2 Meeting - June 28, 2012 at UPS
• Q3 Meeting - August 23, 2012 at Cox Enterprises
• Q4 Meeting - December 6, 2012 location tbd

NOTE: traditionally our Q3 meeting is also our Vendor Fair, while our Q4 meeting is also our Holiday Reception. More information for each Meeting is typically released about one month before the date via email and our website. That information includes Meeting Theme or Topic, headlining speakers, and links to the meeting agenda, event registration, location and directions.
