The IHRIM Atlanta-SE Board would like to take a moment and thank all of our members (both old and new), our event speakers, and certainly our chapter Sponsors and Partners for helping make 2011, our year for "Driving Momentum in a New Economy", a year to remember!

We wish you all a Happy Holiday season, a safe New Years celebration, and look forward to seeing and serving you in 2012.
 

 

The Atlanta IHRIM Excellence Award recognizes an individual, team or organization for excellence in human resources technology. The award is presented annually in recognition of demonstrated leadership, vision and innovation in the use or implementation of technology.

We are still accepting submissions, due no later than January 25, 2012. Please email submissions to: ihrimadmin@ihrimatlantase.org.

The Excellence Award Committee will review all submissions and select a winner. Presentation of the award will be made at the IHRIM Atlanta/SE Q1 meeting on March 22, 2012 (location to be announced at a later date).

The IHRIM Atlanta/SE Board is pleased to announce the schedule for our 2012 Quarterly Meetings:

• Q1 Meeting - March 22, 2012 location TBA
• Q2 Meeting - June 28, 2012 at UPS
• Q3 Meeting - August 23, 2012 at Cox Enterprises
• Q4 Meeting - December 6, 2012 location TBA

Please note: traditionally our Q3 meeting is also our Vendor Fair, while our Q4 meeting is also our Holiday Reception. More information for each Meeting is typically released about one month before the date via email and our website. That information includes Meeting Theme or Topic, headlining speakers, and links to the meeting agenda, event registration, location and directions.

 

Our final meeting of 2011 was held on Thursday, December 1^st at 1:30pm. Three speakers headlined the event, followed by our annual holiday reception.

Speaker Michael Marlatt, Recruiting Consultant for Microsoft Consulting Services and Mobile Evangelist, revealed how mobile communications and technology is impacting the future of digital recruitment now.

Speakers Kim Billeter, Workday Practice Leader, and Jonathan Sears, both from Towers Watson, explored key findings from the 2011 HR Service Delivery and Technology Survey research.
